Who We Are
Hill Country Mission
Church (PCA) is a new church plant of the Presbyterian Church in
America (PCA) in the Ft. Hood/Killeen area of Texas.
The pastor, Lou Best, served in the military for 31 years before
receiving his Master of Divinity degree from Covenant Seminary in
St. Louis.
Lou and his wife, Shirley,
know first hand what military life is like. They have moved around
the world, have experienced separation due to deployments, including
the Gulf War in 1990-91 as part of the 1st Cavalry Division, and
have felt the trauma of leaving family, friends, and a church home.
The Presbyterian Church in America (PCA)
We are part of the Presbyterian Church
in America (PCA). We believe the Bible is the inspired,
inerrant Word of God.
We are a fellowship church that provides a
good place to grow for individuals and families.
Our Vision
Hill Country Church (PCA) exists to:
- Glorify and enjoy God
- Extend our worship of God to every sphere of life
- Celebrate the worth and work of Jesus Christ locally and
beyond
- Recruit and prepare people for worldwide Kingdom service
Our Focus
Worship
God created us to worship. We welcome your visit -- come
check us out as we worship our Lord together.
Community
We are part of a community and make relationships in Christ a
high priority.
Mercy
We seek to meet the spiritual, physical and emotional needs of
those in our community.
Shepherding
We follow our Good Shepherd, Jesus Christ. As fellow pilgrims, we travel together the journey of
life together, bearing one another's burdens.
Mission
Hill Country Mission Church (PCA) is in a unique position for
outreach to the military community and to prepare service
members to be ambassadors for Christ as they deploy worldwide.
We seek a strong base of believers who share our zeal for
ministry to military families.
