WHO WE ARE

Hill Country Presbyterian Church is a new church plant of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) in the Ft. Hood/Killeen area of Texas.

The pastor, Lou Best, served in the military for 31 years before receiving his Master of Divinity degree from Covenant Seminary in St. Louis.

Lou and his wife, Shirley, know first hand what military life is like. They have moved around the world, have experienced separation due to deployments, including the Gulf War in 1990-91 as part of the 1st Cavalry Division, and have felt the trauma of leaving family, friends, and a church home.

The Presbyterian Church in America (PCA)

We believe that the Bible is the written Word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit and without error in the original manuscripts. The Bible is our infallible and divine authority in all matters of faith and life.

We have a strong commitment to evangelism, missionary work (home and abroad), church planting, and Christian education.

We strive to be faithful to the Scriptures, true to the Reformed faith, and obedient to the Great Commission.

Our preaching is Christ-centered, expository, and contextually-relevant.

Our worship is historically and Biblically formed, yet authentic to our time and place.
